Handover: Sample run
Collect the buyer’s part sketch or mold envelope, projected loaded area, compound (PTFE, rubber, silicone or another named feedstock), quantity, destination and requested delivery window. State whether cooling is in-platen, in-mold or both, and which PLC interface names already exist on site. Throughput claims need the material and test conditions; they do not replace the buyer’s useful shots per hour after cooling. A laboratory plaque press remains a parameter reference, not production proof.
Site readiness
Each factory should return clamp force at the stated area, platen size, heating method, cooling water flow and pressure, compressed air demand, connected load and three-phase supply. They should also confirm mold height and removal path against daylight and stroke, including ejector or shuttle access. Cooling water temperature and GPM belong with the complete repeated molding cycle, not only with heat-up. If a bidder quotes a base machine only, record installation, training, spare parts and software licenses as open items.
